Backgammon: A game for two persons, played with pieces whose moves are determined by throws of dice. No interlopers allowed!
Box fan: Cooling device and sometime offensive weapon
Cookies: A small, usually flat and crisp cake made from sweetened dough.
Drywall: Possibly similar to Backgammon, but much more suspicious.
Elf-bash (Fredo twinkletoes): A popular leisure activity in the Hobbit Hole.
Fetch My Medicine (FMM): The cry of one who has seen something to make him or her weak in the knees with excitement.
Funkle: 5 or more sequential non-spam posts by the same person.
Hats: Men are not wearing enough.
“I kilt the thread”: Said by someone who posts and then waits for more than 5 minutes for a response.
Lembas: It is old frog food. But is it a flat cornbread? Or is it more like Vanilla Wafers?
“Meanwhile…”: Said in appreciation of the editing in The Two Towers motion picture.
Moot: A gathering of Hobbit Holers.
PJ-bot: One who understands and accepts the changes made in Tolkien’s source material by Peter Jackson.
Skivvieless Gondorians: Fashion style that screams “Gondor Chic!”
Snaig: An Irish/Celtic spam word.
Snowpants: Dwarven leg wear. “Swish swish swish.”
Spam: Numerous (3 or more) identical posts in rapid succesion, usually in an attempt to grab “the precious”. See also: “Dwarf”
The Precious: Posts with numbers ending in two or more zeros. Variations are “triple-precious” and “quadruple-precious”.
