Hi, I am a combat engineer. I have recieved items from you before and was checking these out for my company. They are interested but not convinced. If it is possible that I could get this one to show them its practical uses in our MOS. If not no big deal. Thanks.

The small add on tool set can be very useful. They can be used to open and reset the pull station before the alarm system can be reset. Too many separate tools in a firefighter's turnout coat can add too much weight. Just my two cents.

I would like to thank you for supporting us in what we do. I am currently in Iraq with 1-133d IN. I have already sent my request for the 7 inch First Strike, but was curious about availability info. Thank you again.

Does your offer for the Gerber Hinderer stand for volunteer firefighters as well? I volunteer with Eastside Fire and Rescue in Sammamish WA, and would be more than happy to give this knife a home and a hellova workout.

I have had one of the Gerber Recon Lights for quite a while now, with the LED, batteries last forever, and light out put is just right for working close up. I carry it all the time attached to my body armor, Its used when Surefire is to much light. If you have the oportunity to get one of these, don't pas it up, you won't regret it.

Regards,

I recently received one of these knives, and I have to tell you it is one great blade, The craftsmanship and finish are topnotch and the lockup is about as solid as you can get. Its a little thick compared to other knives that the Govt. procures with the butterfly brand. But this actually enables me to get a better grip for surer cutting. The pocket clip is adjustable for tip up or tip down carry, which is great because I prfer tip up carry (even for an auto). The spring action has a good torque to and opens with a nice THWACK!!!!, no dragging or rough spots. I think the Safety/lock button could be a little more solid it feels "wobbly".
All in all so far this is a good knife. I have made it my EDC (Every Day Carry) knife, so time will tell on reliability and function, I will provide updates and pictures regularly to the Hobbit Hole of this knife in action. Thank you very much Hobbit Hole. Good Americans Doing Good Things.
